About
Travellers huts is a network of cabins in Lithuania open to all travellers, created following the principles of community engagement, support and sustainability.
This is clean-after-yourself type of accommodation, non-reservable, and for short-term stays (up to two days) only.
And the most important thing is that these huts are renovated from unused buildings by the hands of volunteers. The network is created and maintained by a diverse community of travellers.
Become a part of it by staying in a travellers hut!

support
The network of travellers huts exists only thanks to the volunteers, travellers and organizations that support it. You can join them too! There are many ways to contribute.
f.a.q.
What are travellers huts?
These are simple buildings adapted to the basic needs of travellers. Inside, they can find simple furniture, a few kitchen utensils, bunks or beds for the night, and a fire stove.
What is the purpose of travellers huts?
These are simple, temporary (for up to two nights) and clean-after-yourself ("Leave it nicer than I found" principle) type of shelters. These are not hotels, rural tourism farmhouses or Airbnb.
How much does an overnight stay cost?
The specific amount of payment is not determined, and our recommendation is €10 per person/per night. Pay as much as you can and you think is right. These funds are allocated to the development of the network.
How do I unlock the hut?
To unlock the huts, you must have a smartphone with mobile internet access. You'll find the exact steps of how to unlock the doors here.
How do I reserve a hut?
Huts are not reservable, they are open to all travellers. Others have the right to stay in them at the same time as you, as long as there is enough space on the bunks or floor for a mat and a sleeping bag.
How to check the hut's availability?
You will not see the availability of the huts online. You will find out if the hut is empty or if there are other travellers in it only after you get to the place.
Who do the huts belong to?
The owners are various private individuals who have allowed their building to be turned into a travellers hut with the right of use. Our volunteers take care of the buildings, and in return travellers can stay in them.
Can I organize an event in the hut, use it for commercial purposes?
If you want to organize an event in the hut, use it for commercial purposes or bring in a large group of travellers - all this must be coordinated in writing with NGO "Keliautojų nameliai": labas@keliautojunameliai.lt
